Testing and certification of face masks
In the LOTRIČ Metrology group, we perform testing of face masks. In addition to already made masks, in the development phase we also test materials intended for the production of finished products. We are the notified body NB 2897 for personal protective equipment – OVO (EU) 2016/425 and we carry out the certification procedure for FFP protective masks.
Performing tests is crucial to determine the conformity of face masks. After the tests have been performed, the client obtains test certificates, on the basis of which he can determine the conformity of the final product.
Certification of protective masks is a process in which the manufacturer is obliged to involve a third independent party (notified body) to assess the conformity of the product with modules B and C2 or D. After obtaining the certificates, the manufacturer obtains the possibility of using the CE mark.
