Between 6 and 10 February, the LOTRIČ Metrology Group is presenting itself for the second time at the world EXPO exhibition in Dubai, this time within the theme week Health and Wellness. We made our first presentation to the global public back in November – within the Factories of the Future event. Among other things, we established contact with the representatives of the company Engineering Tracker Establishment, which is based in the United Arab Emirates, and today we signed a partner agreement with them for a joint entry to the market of Saudi Arabia.e
“EXPO Dubai is a world within a world and is the largest business event of the past year and this year, and as such it represents the central business take-off point. In November, as the official partner and exhibitor in the Slovenian pavilion, we made a large number of business contacts, one of which resulted in the today’s signing of the agreement on the joint entry with the company Engineering Tracker Establishment in Saudi Arabia,” said the General Manager Marko Lotrič.
February appearance dedicated to medicine
With regard to the broad spectrum of activities of the LOTRIČ Metrology Group and positive experiences with the appearance at EXPO, this time we are presenting ourselves within the theme week Health and Wellness. At the business forum: High quality products and comprehensive services of the Slovenian small business, which took place today, between 10 am and 1 pm, under the auspices of SPIRIT Slovenia, the Chamber of Craft and Small Business of Slovenia and the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology of the Republic of Slovenia, we presented ourselves with our own solution for cold chain management – EXACTUM and a new service in the field of certification of protective masks.
Within the business forum we introduced an advanced solution, which on the basis of the data collected with the RFID technology combined under the EXACTUM platform signifies a step forward in ensuring cold chain of highly perishable foodstuffs, medicines and other temperature-sensitive goods.
“Cold chain management currently takes place at the level of the entire shipment, for each part of the chain separately. Thereby a manufacturer monitors the conditions of the environment for his part, the warehouse oversees their part, a logistician does the same for their part, etc. As you can imagine, it is a complicated process that involves a high risk for possible errors, which is reflected in large quantities of goods that are not appropriate for any subsequent use due to inappropriate storage conditions. Thanks to the solution presented at the forum today, monitoring of conditions shifts to the level of a product and enables uniform monitoring throughout the value chain – ranging from production, storage, logistics to the hands of the end user, which is a major advantage,” said Jure Thaler, R&D Manager at LOTRIČ Meroslovje.
In addition to the described solution, the company also presented a new laboratory for certification of facial masks at the forum.
Urška Habjan, Sales and Market Manager: “In fully new laboratories furnished with the state-of-the-art equipment, in addition to the testing of facial masks, we also test the materials used for making masks. We are the Notified Body NB 2897 for personal protective equipment and our new service is certification of protective masks. We present the entry point for the EU market and are one of only five laboratories in Europe that can offer such a wide range of services, from testing to certification, on a single location.”
